23 Wk Doc's visit

I had my doctors visit on Monday, and all went well! :) No ultrasound of course but, we both got to hear little Leah's heartbeat. I wish I could have recorded it and listen to it over and over again. This time it was so easy for her to find and it was a lot louder than before, too. Our little one is growing!! Doctor told us that after our next appointment I would start coming in every 2 weeks instead of 4. That is just so exciting to me, it means I'm getting closer to holding Leah in my arms. Next doc's visit she will also order another ultrasound for the 30-ish week mark just to check the size and position of Leah. She's been kicking my cervix lately so, Doctor wants to be sure that she turns it around before we get closer to December.
That's my 22 week belly shot. I should have been getting pictures taken more often because this is actually the first belly shot that I have gotten, :( Anyway, Mark has been working on painting Leah's nursery! We found the most perfect shade of yellow and the first coat of paint is done. I will add pictures of her room when we are all done with it. It is so exciting! :)
Mark and I are heading up to the river next weekend, we are so looking forward to a getaway. He has Monday off for Labor Day and I always have Monday off so, we are driving up for a long weekend at our aunt/uncles extra river house. Hopefully the weather behaves! We want to get some trips to the beach/river in before Leah gets here because we wont be going anywhere for a while after that.
Cravings- Apples and English muffins (? lol), also have been wanting icecream which is strange because before now I couldn't even think of eating any... so unlike me!

21 weeks!

Yay, well today is the 21 week mark! This is the 1st week of the 2nd half of my pregnancy! Baby weighs on average 10.5 oz and crown to rump length is about 7 1/4 oz. Baby is around the size of a large banana, yum!

My sister and Mom stopped by today to drop off TONS of baby cloths, a bouncy chair, diaper bag, crib mattress, etc. Little girl's room is filled with boxes and bags. :-) Going through some of the baby cloths today has just made me feel soo ready for December to be here! It's time to pick out paint so that we can start getting her room together. I think we have decided on a nice light baby yellow color. Here's a picture of her bedding... minus all the blue paint on the walls. ;)

I didn't want to get bedding that was completely pink and girly, I really love the light blue/purple together so, we lucked out with this one, it's more of a neutral bedding but has blue, purple, and even yellow so, perfect! After we paint the walls its time to start searching for her dresser! I have tons of baby cloths with no where to go right now. :-) Not looking forward to cleaning out the closet though... our master closet is very very small, and our house is 3 bedrooms so, I have my cloths in one closet, my husband has his cloths in the 2nd bedroom, and I have my scrubs in baby's closet... Not sure where all my scrubs are going to go but, they can't stay where they are now so, I guess I have to start downsizing, lol.

2 more weeks until our next doctor visit, I'm hoping she needs another ultrasound soon, we are ready to see our little girl again. :-) Her kicks are getting stronger and more frequent, she must be a future gymnast just like Mommy was when she was younger.

Finally!

Well I have been writing all these things down ever since we found out we were pregnant and I am just now getting it all onto this blog site... Anyway! Nothing really new to say, :) Still dealing with acid reflux after I eat, I have got to go buy some TUMS! Baby girl is moving and kicking a lot more often now, we can actually see her move around in my stomach because it bulges out when she kicks, its the weirdest thing! Next doctors visit is August 24th!! :)

If you have a chance, please vote for our little girls name, we need opinions!! :) If you have name suggestions that aren't on the list, just leave them as a comment here. Thanks.

Half way done!!

Today I am blessed to turn 20 weeks pregnant! This is the half way mark, yay! Just another 20 weeks or so to go.... December 20th can't get here soon enough! We still haven't decided on a name, my husband is still insisting on the name of Leah, I'm still wanting Bailey or Kinsey. We will see! Well I started having a new pregnancy side effect that I have never ever had before... acid reflux. Unfortunately, its going to get worse as the pregnancy progresses. :( Joy! Well, We picked out baby girl's bedding a while ago so, now its time to paint! Her room will be pastel yellow (my fav color). We have been blessed to have good friends and family that have already had children and are sharing all their wonderful gifts with us. We were given an oak crib, getting a beautiful convertible crib when my sweet baby niece is done with it, my other sister is lending us her basinet, and I have boxes upon boxes of girl cloths! :) Mark and I don't have much left on our list of stuff to get. We did our registry at Target and I'm going to look at Baby depot to see if theres something else we need or want.

My next doc's visit is August 24th, I really hope she orders another ultrasound, I want to see our little girl again. I think we are going back to the place in Orlando in a month or two for another 4d scan. We want to see her sweet little face, she was pretty much hiding it the whole time at our last scan.

PINK or BLUE? Here goes nothing!!

ULTRASOUND DAY! I've been shaking like a leaf today! Could barely eat, I was so excited to find out BOY or GIRL and to see our sweet little angel again in our ultrasound. Little did I know how FRUSTRATING this day would be! We went to our ultrasound appointment at 1:00 in extreme anticipation of finding out pink or blue! The tech said she would try her best! When she started the ultrasound, she said "Oh, this is going to be fun..." Baby was head down and very low in my belly. All our baby would show us was THIGH! She tried for a few more minutes and said she thought she saw a "boy part" but then right before she gave up she said "no.. .maybe its a girl". Before we left, we asked her how sure she was and she said, "50-60% girl". We were so depressed, I cried for a while, just in disappointment of not being able to find out. But, on the other hand, our baby is doing great! Heart rate is 127 bpm according to their measurements. Spine looked great, brain developement looked great, and baby was already presenting with a 4-chambered heart. We seem to be blessed with a healthy "mystery" baby! We will find out the official results of the ultrasound at our next doctors visit, which is fast approaching!

I got on the internet, still bummed about not finding out a definite answer, and was blessed to find "Baby Checkers" located in Orlando. I called and the lady whom answered the phone said she was willing to stay late today and let us drive down to Orlando. I told her about how the ultrasound went earlier today, and she said not to worry because she wouldn't let us leave until she got a 100% definite answer. I called Mark and he left as soon as he could from work and off we went to Orlando!! The drive seemed to take an excruciatingly long amount of time but we finally found her. I was pretty surprised to learn that the lady that was so willing to stay after hours for us was actually the Doctor herself who owned the office. The ultrasound was amazing, we got to see our baby in 4d. Its so unreal to see the baby's face like your actually looking at him/her in person. The Doctor was so patient while looking for the gender and thats a very good thing because our baby seems to be STUBBORN! Either the foot was infront of genitals, or a hand was over the genitals. I thought we would never find out but, Doctor Maria took one and half HOURS of searching until she FINALLY found what she was looking for!

Its a GIRL! 100% sure, paint the room pink, GIRL! We were both kind of hoping for a boy but, we are so blessed and happy to learn that we will be having baby girl on December 20th! I'm so glad that we found Maria's office and very thankful for her efforts and patience at finding out that our baby is definitely a girl! We are thinking maybe Leah Grace for her name but, not 100% decided on it yet.

Hubby got to feel baby move!

Mark finally got to feel the baby move! We were sitting in our cardiologists office waiting for the results of my echo and holter when I started to feel the baby move, I grabbed Marks hand and held it up to my belly and sure enough! He felt him/her kicking his hand! Still very faint but, how amazing! Echo was normal and holter showed my heart race to 160 but cardiologist feels that its just because of my pregnancy and thinks its normal for me. No need for medication, yay!
